Belleville, Ontario On July 11th, 2012, at 9:00 p.m. Police attended at a on Avonlough Road in response to . Investigation revealed that unknown person(s) gained entry and stole . This occurred between noon and 5:30 p.m. This investigation is ongoing.

Theft of a pick-up truck

Belleville, Ontario On July 11th, 2012 at 3:00 p.m., a resident on Mudcat Road reported the theft of a pick-up truck sometime overnight. The truck is a 2003 Chev. Silverado pick-up which is gray in colour. It has Ontario plates 9319 YX.

R.I.D.E. Program

Belleville, Ontario On July 11th, at 8:00 p.m., Officers set up a RIDE program on Station St.. At 8:20 p.m., an Officer detected alcohol on the breath of a driver. As the Officer started his investigation, a passerby stopped to lend his support to the driver. The passerby was ordered to leave the area several times as he was interfering with the investigation. The passerby refused to leave and was arrested for obstructing Police. A friend of the passerby started to object to the arrest and she too was arrested for obstructing Police. The driver was eventually arrested for impaired driving. Once the driver was arrested, the interfering duo was released unconditionally. Edwin Morrill, 50, of Belleville, was charged with Impaired Driving and Reading over 80 mgs. He will appear in court on July 19th, 2012. A total of 210 cars were checked.
