Trafficking in Marijuana

Belleville, Ontario ? On April 11th, 2012, at 3:00 p.m., an officer on patrol observed a drug transaction on Station St. A male was arrested and 110 grams of marijuana was seized. A 31 year old Toronto man has been charged with Trafficking in Marijuana and Breach of Recognizance. He was held for a Bail Hearing on April 12th, 2012.

Thefts from cars ? two in custody

Belleville, Ontario ? On April 12th, 2012, at 2:30 a.m., Police responded to a prowler call on St. Paul Street. It was learned that two males were observed entering cars. The males were located, and after a brief foot chase, both were taken into custody. The two males, ages 15 and 16, had been reported missing from another jurisdiction. Both remain in custody awaiting Bail Hearings on April 12th, 2012. Their charges include Prowl by Night, Theft under $5000.00, Possession of Stolen Property, and Possession of Marijuana. The officers recovered stolen property from a number of cars. There is still unclaimed property in the form of GPS units, coats, and miscellaneous items. Anyone in the City's south end who experienced a theft from their vehicle can call the Belleville Police Service.
