R.I.D.E.

Belleville, Ontario ? On December 11th & 12th overnight police conducted a R.I.D.E program throughout the city. A 31year old Prince Edward County man was stopped in a R.I.D.E. check and refused to identify himself or to provide a breath sample. He was arrested and subsequently released on a Promise to Appear for fail to Refuse to Provide Breath Sample.

A 27 year old Wooler man was also checked by R.I.D.E. officers and subsequently arrested for Impaired Driving, Refuse to Provide Breath Sample and Drive While Disqualified. He was later released on a promise to appear.

Break & Enter

Belleville, Ontario ? On December 12, 2009 at 3:10 a.m., police responded to a Break & Enter in progress at a North Park Street home. A 14 year old male and a 16 year old female were arrested for Break and Enter after neighbours reported hearing breaking glass.

Both were arrested inside the home. The female remains in custody and is charged with Break Enter and Theft,Possession of Stolen Property, Breach of Probation and Breach of a Recognizance. She will appear in court Monday for a bail hearing. The male was charged with Break and Enter, Possession of Housebreaking Tools and two counts of Breach of Recognizance. He was released from custody into the care of his father.

Public Intoxication & Drugs

Belleville, Ontario ? On December 12, 2009, over night, five males were arrested throughout the night for public intoxication.One of thefive was found to be in possession of a quantity of drugs and was also charged with Possession Marijuana.
