Break and Enter

Belleville, Ontario On February 11th, 2013, at 8:00 a.m., police attended at a business on Campbell Street in relation to a break and enter investigation. Sometime between 8:00 p.m. on February 9th and 8:00 a.m. on February 11th, unknown person(s) gained entry and stole 40 pairs of frames and sunglasses. Anyone with information can contact the Belleville Police Service or Crimestoppers.

Assault and Threats

Belleville, Ontario On February 11th, 2013, at 3:00 p.m., Police attended on Cedar St. in relation to a complaint of assault. It was learned that a roommate had been punched and threatened by another roommate. 22 year old Andrew Hayashi was arrested and charged with assault and uttering death threats. He will appear in court on March 14th, 2013. No one was injured in this incident.

Theft of a laptop

Belleville, Ontario On February 11th, at 3:30 p.m., a motorist parked his vehicle on Wallbridge Crescent. Upon his return to the vehicle, unknown person(s) had removed a laptop computer from the vehicle. The laptop is described as a Eurocom B5121.

Bail Violation

Belleville, Ontario On February 11th, 2013, at 10:00 p.m., police attended at a residence on Casey Road to perform a compliance check regarding a male's bail conditions. The male was not present despite a curfew condition. He was located a short time later and arrested. A 33 year old Belleville man has been held for Bail on a charge of Breach of Recognizance. His Bail Hearing will be on February 12th, 2013.

Controlled Drug and Substance Act

Belleville, Ontario On February 12th, 2013, at 12:15 a.m. an officer on patrol conducted a traffic stop on College Street East. The officer seized a small amount of marijuana from two occupants of this car. The teenagers, ages 17 and 19, were not charged. The parents were called to collect the car as well as the youths.
