Belleville, Ont., - At approximately 1:34 am on January 12, 2009 police were called to a North Front Street bar to investigate a report of a fight involving two males. Upon arrival, they found one involved person still inside the establishment and were informed that the second male who was bleeding from a cut on his head had fled from the scene. The first male left the bar voluntarily and was unhurt. A description of the second male was passed on to officers and approximately 30 minutes later they spotted him crossing North Front Street wearing only a t-shirt and no shoes. He ran from the officers and was located nearby after scaling a fence He was found to be intoxicated. Investigation revealed that he had been previously charged with several offences and had been released with a condition not to consume alcohol. After being taken to BGH for treatment of minor injuries he was brought to the Belleville Police Service. A 27 year old Belleville man faces a charge of Breach of Undertaking. He has been held for a bail hearing this afternoon.
Belleville, Ont., - At approximately 1330 hrs, Police attended at the Quinte Mall in regards to shoplifter. After further investigation the accused was charged under the Trespass To Property act.
