Serious Motor Vehicle Accident
Belleville, Ontario - On July 11, 2011 at 2:55 p.m. police responded to a single motor vehicle collision at the intersection Prince of Wales Dr and Elvin Gardens.
A 1999 Yamaha motorcycle was westbound on Elvin Gardens when the driver failed to negotiate the intersection continuing westbound leaving the roadway and striking a tree.
The driver, a 50 year old Belleville male, was transported to Belleville General Hospital with serious life threatening injuries and then transferred to Kingston General Hospital for further treatment. Belleville, Ontario ? Belleville Police received several thefts from motor vehicles from July 9th to 12th.
On July 9th a vehicle parked in the lot at East Riverside Park was damaged as suspects used a crow bar to smash the driver's window and then caused damage to the interior front console of the car. Suspects took a wallet that had been left in the vehicle. Suspect left the crow bar in the car before leaving the area. On the same date two vehicles parked on North Park St and Moira Street East were entered. Taken were 2 lap tops, 18V cordless drill, blue tooth head set, cell phone and remote for a DVD player.
On July 10th and police received six reports of thefts from vehicles. Most of the vehicles had been left unlocked. Thieves took CD's, two sweat shirts (Hollister), cell phone chargers, cash, purse containing a wallet with ID, GPS, HP computer hard drive (monitor and speakers), two IPods, and a camera. The vehicles entered were parked on Holloway St, Coleman St, Moira St East, Stone St, Burton St, and Sidney St
On July 11th two vehicles were entered as they were parked on Elm St and Evans St. Thieves took a diaper bag, personal identification, CD's, and cash.
Belleville, Ontario - On July 11, 2011 at 11:40 a.m. on officer on patrol stopped a vehicle on Catharine Street at Yeomans Street for a Highway Traffic Act violation. Subsequent to the stop the driver was arrested and charged with Over 80mgs. Robert WALDRON, 34 years old from Belleville, was later released with a court date in August 2011.
