Stolen Vehicle

Belleville – An east end residence was broken into overnight on July 10.  The suspect entered through the window and stole keys to a 2017 Blue Dodge Caravan, ON/CBMT020.  The vehicle is still outstanding.


Car vs Bicycle

Belleville – A cyclist was hit by a vehicle around 10:50am on Victoria Av.  An ambulance was dispatched due to the injuries sustained from the collision and eventually transported to BGH.  Investigation is still on-going



Belleville – A 24 yr old Belleville resident awaits a bail hearing today after an argument with his neighbor overnight.  City police were called to a Coleman Street address over a cat defecating in the flower bed.  Retaliation was achieved when dog feces was flug with a shovel back at the cat owners.  As a result of an investigation, the 24 yr old male faces charges of mischief, and breach of recognizance.


Impaired/Over 80

Belleville – A vehicle stop resulted in a driver being arrested for impaired driving in the city’s east end.  The officer was following the vehicle on Herchimer Av at 6pm and became alarmed over the poor driving.  The vehicle was stopped and the driver was determined to have consumed alcohol in excess.  Two breath samples were received back at the station and as a result a 53 yr old man was charged with impaired operation and over 80mgs.  The vehicle was seized for 7 days.


Belleville – An investigation is on-going into a suspicious fire at a Moira Street West residence.  Police are trying to determine how a pile of clothing was set fire to and cameras in the residence ripped down.  It’s believed the suspect tossed a lit cigarette into the pile, causing it to ignite.  Six people are living in the residence and no one has any idea who set the fire.  Police and Fire cleared the scene once the fire system was back in working order.
