Belleville Police Service responded to 73 calls for service from the 11th of June 2019 at 5:00 a.m. to the 12th of June 2019 at 5:00 a.m.

Aggravated Assault

Belleville, Ontario – On the 11th of June at approximately 6:30 p.m. a 29 year old Belleville male was arrested in relation to a historic domestic situation that was reported to police on the 5th of June. The male is being held in custody for a bail hearing on the 12th of June. At the time of this release the charges include aggravated assault and sexual assault. The name of the accused is being withheld to protect the identity of the victim.

Motor Vehicle VS Cyclist

Belleville, Ontario – On the 11th of June at 10:30 p.m. police responded to a motor vehicle versus a cyclist collision at Albion St. and Pine St. The cyclist, who did not have a light on his bicycle, was taken to Belleville General Hospital with minor injuries. There were no charges laid in relation to the accident.
