Break and Enter

Belleville, Ontario On March 12, 2013 at 0322hrs, police responded to a residence on Gilbert Street in regards to a break and enter. The homeowner had gone into the basement to turn off a light, heard a noise and observed a male fleeing the residence through the basement window. The male was last seen running towards Gilbert Street down a neighbor's driveway. Police searched the area for the male suspect with negative results. The male suspect was described as wearing green army style camouflage pants with large cargo side pockets and dark colored footwear. Nothing was taken during this incident. This investigation is continuing. Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to contact the Belleville Police Service or Quinte Crimestoppers.
