The Belleville Police Service responded to 59 calls for service between May 11th, 2019 at 5:00 a.m. and May 12th, 2019 at 5:00 a.m.


ATV Motor Vehicle Collision

Belleville, Ontario – On the 11th of May 2019 at 10:08 a.m. Police responded to the area of Bethel Road regarding an ATV collision. An 18 year old male was travelling on Bethel Road when he lost control and was ejected from the ATV. The male sustained severe injuries, as he was not wearing his helmet, and was transported to Kingston General Hospital for treatment. An investigation is ongoing.


Police Pursuit Ends Safely In Several Charges

Belleville, Ontario – On the 12th of May 2019 at 1:30 a.m. Police observed a vehicle traveling at an extremely high rate of speed on Bridge Street West. A short pursuit led Police to Palmer Road where they successfully initiated a traffic stop. An investigation revealed that the 20 year old male, Nathan Gosse, was in possession of a stolen motor vehicle. Gosse is facing charges of Impaired Driving, Theft of Motor Vehicle, Fail to Remain at the scene of an accident, Driving While Under Suspension, Failing to Stop for Police and Possession of Stolen Property. He received a court date in June to face the charges.


Suspended Driver and Breach of Recognizance

Belleville, Ontario – On the 12th of May 2019 at 12:20 a.m. Police observed an erratic driver traveling North bound on North Front Street. Police successfully initiated a traffic stop where an investigation ensued. The driver of the motor vehicle was found to be breaching two separate recognizance’s and was also a Suspended Driver. Jamie Ashley, the 41 year old Belleville male driver, was charged criminally with four counts of Breach of Recognizance, Driving While Under Suspension and Stunt Driving. He received a court date in June to face the charges.
