Belleville, Ont. ? On October 12, 2009, at approximately 1:00 a.m., police were flagged down by the staff at a North Front Street bar. A male was found passed out on the ground at the front of the establishment. He was arrested for his own protection under the Liquor Licence Act and transported to the Belleville Police Service. The 18 year old Belleville man was charged with Public Intoxication and later released on a Provincial Offence Notice.
On October 12, 2009, at approximately 1:45 a.m., while on routine patrol, an officer observed a suspicious vehicle driving in the Quinte Mall parking lot. The vehicle was stopped and the female driver was found to have been drinking. She blew a fail on the roadside screening device and was arrested and transported to the Belleville Police Service where she subsequently blew a fail on a breathalyzer. A 26 year old Oshawa woman was charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle with More Than 80MG of alcohol per 100ML of Blood and released on a Promise to Appear with a court date of November 26, 2009.
Belleville, Ont. ? On October 12, 2009, at 1:26 a.m., police were called to a North Front bar with a complaint of assault. It was alleged a female patron struck another female in the bar with a beer bottle. Police are currently investigating these allegations and report the victim received minor injuries as a result of this assault.
Belleville, Ont. ? On October 12, 2009, at 5:20 p.m., a Coleman Street resident is alleged to have assaulted a door to door salesman. The salesman knocked on the home owner?s door. A resident in the home opened the door and told the salesman he did not want the product and closed the door. A short time later a second salesman knocked on the door in an attempt to sell the product. The home owner became frustrated and pushed the salesman off his property. Police were called to investigate. Both parties were spoken to regarding their actions and neither wished to proceed with police intervention.
Break & Enter
Belleville, Ont. ? On October 12, 2009, at 10:25 a.m., police responded to a Break & Enter at a business on Vermilyea Road. The Break & Enter occurred sometime over night and taken were several hand tools, hand saws and water pumps. Also stolen was a company vehicle. The vehicle is a 1997, GMC, pick up, green in colour. The licence plate number is 5336HL.
