Disturbing the Peace

Belleville, Ontario - On September  12 2009, at 4:00 p.m., a 53 year old Belleville woman was arrested after a street disturbance in the City?s west end.  She was arrested and taken into custody for Breaching the Peace and was lodged in the cells to prevent a continuation of the offence and later released.

 

Arrest on Warrants

Belleville, Ontario - On September 12 2009, at 5:30 p.m., a 19 year old Belleville man was arrested on outstanding warrants for the offence of Breach of Probation and Failing to Appear for Fingerprints.  He was released with court date in October 2009.

 
Impaired Driver held for Bail Hearing

Belleville, Ontario - On September 12, 2009 at 7:00 p.m., an Officer observed a car with an expired 2004 license validation tag sticker on Sidney Street.  The vehicle was stopped and a further check revealed that the driver had been consuming alcohol.  He was arrested for Impaired Driving and ended up providing a breath sample four (4) times the legal limit.  It was then learned that this driver had provided his brother?s name during the arrest. Further investigation revealed that this male driver was ?Wanted? by another Police Service for the same offence of Impaired Driving.  The investigation also determined that this male was  a life-time prohibited driver from previous Impaired Driving convictions.  As a result the 46 year old Stirling man was held for a bail hearing on charges of Impaired Driving, Over 80 mgs, Drive While Prohibited, Personation with Intent, and Obstructing Police.  The vehicle was impounded under the 45-day impoundment program.

 
Liquor License Act

Belleville, Ontario - On September 12 2009, 7:30 p.m., a 51 year old Ottawa man was arrested for public intoxication at the Quinte Mall after reports of a man passed out ad been received by Police.  He was lodged in the cells for his own protection and later released with a Provincial Offences Notice.

 
Domestic Disturbance

Belleville, Ontario - On September 12 2009 11:45 p.m., an 18 year old Belleville male was arrested after Police received a report of a Domestic dispute in the downtown core.  He has been charged with three counts of Breach of Probation and will appear in court in November 2009.

 
Bail Violations

Belleville, Ontario - On September 13 2009, at 4:15 a.m., an Officer checked a car in the City?s south end.  The driver was a 24 year old male from Toronto who had a long list of Bail conditions as a result of a recent drug investigation.  This male was to observe a curfew in his Toronto home, not to be in Belleville, not to possess drugs, and not to possess any cell phones or telecommunication devices.  Seized from the vehicle were marijuana, debt lists, $500.00 cash, and three cell phones.  He has been held for Bail on charges of Possession of Narcotic for the purpose of Trafficking, Proceeds of Crime, and six counts of Breach of a Recognizance.  He will appear for Bail on Monday September 14 2009 at 1:00pm.
