Thefts from cars

 

Belleville, Ontario – On September 11th, 2014, at 5:15 p.m. police attended in the parking lot of Quinte Health Care.  QHC security officers had arrested a male who had been caught stealing items out of parked cars.  Property from three parked cars was recovered and returned to owners.  The male also resisted arrest when confronted by the security officers. A 25 year old Belleville man was charged with three counts of theft, resist arrest, and breach of probation.  He will appear in court on October 16th, 2014. No one was injured in this incident.

 

 

Accident

 

Belleville, Ontario – On September 11th, 2014, at 6:51 p.m. police attended at the intersection of Cedar and Catharine Street in relation to a two-car accident. A 21 year old Belleville woman was charged with failing to yield to traffic on a through highway.

 

 

Drive while prohibited

 

Belleville, Ontario –On September 11th, 2014, at 10:00 p.m. an officer conducted a traffic stop on Albion Street.  A check revealed that the driver had been prohibited from driving by the criminal courts.  A 28 year old Belleville man was charged with "drive while prohibited” and breach of probation.  He will appear in court on October 16th, 2014.

 

 

Intoxicated male with a stolen bicycle

 

Belleville, Ontario –On September 12th, 2014, at 2:40 a.m. police located an intoxicated male walking a bicycle on Dundas Street West. This male was believed to have been the prowler that was scared off by a homeowner on Avondale Road. The 19 year old Belleville man was arrested for his own protection under the Liquor Licence Act.  A pink girls’ bicycle was recovered. The owner of the bike remains unknown.  The bike may have been taken in the area of Loyalist College, Avonlough Road, or Avondale Road.  Anyone missing a pink girls’ bicycle are encouraged to call in with further descriptors.
