Belleville, Ontario ? On July 12, 2011 at 11:55 p.m. police received a report of a Robbery at the Shell Gas Station on North Front Street. Police responded along with the canine unit.

A lone male suspect had entered the gas bar armed with a knife and demanded cash. The suspect then fled the store with an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect was described as male, white, 5'7?-5'8?, black hoodie and black shorts. The canine track was successful and the suspect was arrested in the area of College Street East and Prince of Wales Drive. The money and the knife were recovered as a result of the arrest.

An 18 year old male with no fixed address was arrested and charged with one count of Robbery. The accused is being held in custody while awaiting a Bail Hearing scheduled for July 13, 2011.


Belleville, Ontario ? On July 12, 2011 at 3:25 p.m. a male was driving southbound on Front St. Also in the car was a female passenger and two small children. The driver stopped at the intersection at Victoria Ave, A male walking on Front Street approached the vehicle while it was stopped at the intersection and for no known reason started ?calling on the driver'. The passenger in the vehicle locked the doors as the male then proceeded to kick the vehicle and threw at number of boxes at it. The driver immediately left the area and called police. The vehicle occupants did not know this suspect. The vehicle sustained damage as a result.

Police arrested and charged a 30 year old Belleville male with one count each of Mischief to Property, Breach of Probation and Cause a Disturbance.

The accused was held in custody awaiting a Bail Hearing scheduled for July 13, 2011.
