Fail to remain accident

Belleville, Ontario – On March 12th, 2017, at 7:52 p.m. police attended on West Street in relation to a hit-and-run accident. A parked car on the street had been struck by another vehicle which had failed to remain. Officers located the other car further north on West Street in a driveway.  This car had also struck a hydro pole near the driveway. There was no damage to the pole. A 58-year-old Belleville woman was charged with failing to remain at the scene of the accident. She will appear in Traffic Court in April. Both cars were towed from their respective locations. No one was injured.


Belleville, Ontario – On March 13th, 2017, at 12:32 a.m. police responded to a parking lot on Bridge Street West as a caller reported that a man was entering parked cars. Police arrested a 24-year-old Northbrook man in the parking lot for prowling by night. A check revealed that none of the cars had been entered. He was released with a courtdate of April 13th, 2017.
