The Belleville Police Service responded to 63 calls between August 12th 2019 at 5:00 a.m. and August 13th 2019 at 5:00 a.m.

Theft and fraud

Belleville, ONT – On August 12th 2019 at 08:57 a.m. police received a report of a theft and fraudulent use of a credit card.  An investigation revealed the item was stolen from a home in the west end of the city between August 2nd and 11th of this year.  The card was then used at a local convenience store in the east end of the city to make purchases.  Police are continuing this investigation and ask anyone who may have information on who may be responsible for these offences to please contact investigating officer Cst. Break and enter

Belleville, ONT – On August 12th 2019 at 10:07 a.m. police received a call to attend a business on Bell Boulevard for a break and enter.  An investigation revealed an unknown male with a bicycle to have removed hinge pins from a structure on the property of the location.  It was not immediately known if anything was taken.  This investigation is continuing.  Police are asking for anyone who may have information to please contact investigating officer Cst. Arrested for breaching probation

Belleville, ONT – On August 12th 2019 at 12:24 p.m. police were called to a home on the west side of the city for a report of a man breaching conditions of his probation.  Police located the 30-year old city man, and arrested him without incident.  He was transported to police headquarters, and lodged to a holding cell to await a bail hearing. 

 

Theft of I-phones and cash

Belleville, ONT – On August 12th 2019 at 3:32 p.m. police received a report of a theft which occurred at the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre.  The victim in this matter informed police that 2 i-phones and cash belonging to her children was stolen from a locked locker within a change room.  The investigation is continuing.  Police are asking anyone who may have knowledge on who is responsible for this theft to please contact investigating officer Cst.
