Belleville, Ont. – On August 12th 2018 at 1:40 P.M. police arrested a 24 year old Belleville male as a result of an ongoing investigation. On the 11th of August at 4:00 P.M. police were called to an east end retail store with regards to a shoplifter and after viewing the video police were able to identify the suspect. The male was also found to be on a probation order to the keep the peace. He is being held in custody for a bail hearing on the 13th of August on charges of theft under $5000 and breach of probation.


Breach of the Peace

Belleville, Ont. – On August 12th  2018 at 7:45 P.M. while on patrol in the cities west end police drove upon a disturbance in the Coleman St. area. Investigation revealed that there was a family dispute between a father and son and police were forced to arrest the son for breach of the peace to quell the disturbance. The 18 year old male was taken to police cells for a few hours to calm down before being released without charges. There were no injuries as a result of the incident.
