Obstruct Justice/Breach of Recognizance
Belleville, Ontario – On Friday, February 13, 2015 at 0150am, police conducted a routine traffic stop on Sidney Street at Tracey Park Drive. One of the male passengers identified himself to police but after further investigation, it was determined that the name provided was false and that the male was on two separate bail recognizances with outstanding charges from Peel Region. As a result of the investigation, a 19 year old Brampton male was arrested and charged with Obstruct Justice, Breach of Recognizance and Possession of a Controlled Substance. He is being held for a bail hearing on 13 February 2015.
A 17 year old female was also located in the vehicle that had been reported missing from a group home in Mississauga. This female was apprehended by police to be later picked up by Peel Region CAS.
