Impaired Driver
Belleville, On. ? On the 13 of January, 2009 at 3:39 am a call was received froma concerned citizen that there were two suspicious vehicles in his laneway on Casey Rd.  Officers attended and located he two vehicles.  One of the driver?s, a 19 year old Stirling man, was arrested and charged for driving a motor vehicle with over 80 mgs. Of alcohol in his blood and breaching his release recognizance.  He is being held for a bail hearing. 

Stolen Vehicle

Belleville, Ont,. - On the 13th of January, 2009 at 4:48 am a 911 call was received regarding a vehicle that had just been stolen on Emily Street.  The complainant had started the vehicle to let it warm up and when the complainant went back out, the vehicle was gone.  Officers checked the area and located the vehicle within 20 minutes in the Pine Street area, parked with no occupants.    

Barricaded Person
Belleville, Ont., - At approximately 10:50pm on the 13th of January 2009, Police were called to a residence in Belleville for a suicidal person.  When police arrived the person would not allow face to face communication. This person remained barricaded behind a steel door.  A uniformed officer and a tactical team officer began verbal negotiations with the person.  A secondary negotiator and members from the Emergency Response Team were called in to assist.  As a result of ongoing negotiations the person presented themselves to police. The person was safely apprehended under the Mental Health Act and transported to hospital.  There were no injuries to any persons during this call.   No further details available at this time.
