Belleville, Ontario – On January 12th, 2016, officers responded to 17 accidents in a 13-hour period:
At 6:43 a.m. police attended at 345 College Street east in relation to a single vehicle accident. The driver suffered minor injuries, and the car was towed. No charges in this incident.
At 7:02 a.m. police attended in front of the Firehall on West Moira Street in relation to a single vehicle accident. The airbags had been deployed and the car was towed from the scene. There were no injuries; no charges in this incident.
At 7:15 a.m. police attended on College Street West as a car had struck a utility pole. The car was towed, and there was minor damage only to the pole. No injuries; no charges.
At 7:21 a.m. police attended at the intersection of Dundas Street West and Palmer Road in relation to a two-car accident. Belleville Fire Dept. and EMS attended as both drivers suffered minor injuries. Both cars were towed from the intersection. No charges.
At 9:07 a.m. police attended at Pinnacle Street and Market Street as a car had struck a City bus. The driver of the car, a 43-year old Belleville woman, was charged with disobeying a red light. Her car was towed from the scene. There was no damage to the bus.
