At 3:01 am on June 13, 2009 police were called to a North Front Street restaurant to investigate a report of a possible impaired driver. Officers located the vehicle in the drive through and the driver was arrested for Impaired Driving and transported to the Belleville Police Service. He then failed his breathalyzer test. A 26 year old Cobourg man faces charges of Impaired Driving and Over 80MG. He was released on a Promise to Appear.
On the 13th of June 2009 the Belleville Police Service investigated a report of a stolen vehicle. The theft occurred in the West end of Belleville sometime overnight between the 12th/13th of June 2009. The vehicle is a 2009 white PT Cruiser with Ontario marker BBEY 246.
Intoxicated Male At 10:31 pm on June 13, 2009 police were called to the area of Dundas Street East at Church Street to investigate a report of two males carrying a sign and running out onto the roadway. Officers located the two nearby and found that both had been consuming alcohol. One was allowed to go on his way while the other was arrested for his own protection under the Liquor Licence Act. The 21 year old Belleville man was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication. He was lodged in the Belleville Police Service cells and later released on a Provincial Offence Notice
