Motor Vehicle Collision ? Belleville, Ont.

At approximately 7:20 pm on May 12, 2012 police responded to a report of a fail to remain motor vehicle collision. A four wheeler ATV travelling eastbound at the Earl Street / North Front Street intersection had struck a Jeep travelling northbound. The driver of the Jeep was not injured and the driver of the ATV was thrown from the vehicle but got back on it and fled from the scene. He was wearing a red and white helmet and the ATV was described as being blue in color and having a flat tire after the accident. It was last seen by witnesses going northbound in the Old Cannifton Road area near Station Street after it had crossed over the Moira River by the footbridge. Anyone with any information about the ATV or the driver is asked to call the Belleville Police Service at 613-966-0082 or Quinte Crimestoppers.

Over 80 MG ? Belleville, Ont.

At approximately 11:18 pm on May 12, 2012 officers attended in the College Street West area to investigate several reports of a vehicle being driven erratically. A vehicle matching the description was found running in a nearby parking lot and when the driver was checked he was found to have been consuming alcohol. He was arrested and transported to the Belleville Police Service where it was determined that his blood alcohol was above the legal limit. Rodney Beaudrie, 33, of Belleville was charged with Over 80MG and released on a Promise to Appear with a court date of May 31, 2012.
