Hit and Run Motor Vehicle collision
Belleville Ont. ? On October 13, 2009, at 4:40 a.m., Belleville Police Service responded to a call of a hit and run on Pinnacle Street in front of the Belleville Bus Terminal. Belleville Police Service is asking for help from the public in locating a brown or beige coloured Ford vehicle with damage to the front end. Specifically it is missing its right mirror. The vehicle should stand out as it sustained a considerable amount of damage and left several parts behind before fleeing the scene.
Vehicle and Driver Located

On October 13, 2009, at 8:15 a.m., police located the vehicle wanted in this hit and run. The vehicle was located on Pinnacle Street parked on a business lot. The driver was also with the vehicle. A 20 year old New York state male was arrested for Fail to Remain. He is currently being detained in custody and this incident is still under investigation.

Belleville, Ont. ? On October 13, 2009, Belleville Police received reports of several acts of Mischief to property. A resident from Harriet Street reported someone smashed the rear side window of his vehicle overnight. Nothing was taken from the vehicle. A Bridge Street West business owner reports someone smashed two roof top windows to his business. No entry was gained. A Stanley Street business was vandalized over the weekend. The owner reports someone spray painted graffiti on the outside of the building and a Sidney Street location had two meshed covered windows smashed sometime over the weekend.
Belleville, Ont. ? On October 13, 2009, Belleville Police received reports of several thefts. Sometime over night thieves removed four tires and rims from a truck that was parked at a business on Farnham Road in Thurlow Township. The value of the tires and rims is estimated at $800.00. A Dell lap top was stolen from the front porch mud room of a resident on McDonald Ave. A resident on Front Street reported thieves smashed a window on her vehicle and took change from her car and two licence plates were stolen from two separate vehicles at various locations in the City of Belleville. The first plate number is AXPT638 and the second AZDW379.

Theft from Motor Vehicle & Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
Belleville, Ont. ? On October 13, 2009, at 4:50 a.m., police located a vehicle parked in a lot on Pinnacle Street that had been entered. Witnesses in the area gave a description of the suspect as male, in his 20?s, wearing a ?hoodie? and a carrying bag containing power tools.

Further investigation lead police to an east hill address where a 26 year old Belleville male was arrested and subsequently charged with one count each of Theft Under, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Possession of Break in Instruments.

During the course of the investigation, a 15 year old male was located in the same residence as the 26 year old accused. Further investigation revealed the 15 year old had been previously released on a Recognizance with conditions and at the time he was located he was in breach of these conditions.
The 15 year old male was arrested and charged with one count each of Fail to Comply with Undertaking or Recognizance and Failure to Comply with Sentence or Disposition.

Both males were held for Bail Hearings.

Theft of Credit Cards
Belleville, Ont. ? On October 13, 2009, at 5:00 p.m., a resident of Belleville reports two credit cards were stolen from her purse while she was shopping in the north end of the City. On this same date the cards were used between 1:45 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. at two Bell Blvd locations. One purchase was in the amount of $450.00 and another for $77.00. This incident is still under investigation.
