911 Pocket Dialling


Belleville Ontario:  in an 18 hour span the Belleville Police Service received 10 accidental 911 calls. The majority of these calls came from cellular phones were persons have ‘pocket dialed: 911 by accident. These tie up phone lines and resources for real 911 emergencies. Motor Vehicle Collision into building

Belleville Ontario: At 11:35am on the 12th of October the Belleville Police Service responded to a vehicle that had struck a building in the North West area of the city.  The investigation revealed that the driver was attempting to park their car in the parking lot when all of a sudden the driver lost control and it struck the building.  There was significant damage to both the vehicle and building.  There were several people inside the building at the time of the incident however there were no injuries.  There were no charges. 



Belleville Ontario: At approximately 1130pm on 12 October 2017 a city taxi attended the Belleville Police Service to advise that they had a fare passed out in the back seat of the taxi. A 23 year old female from Belleville was arrested and charged with public intoxication and was held until she sobered up
