Break and Enter(s) - Arrests
Belleville, Ontario ? On 11 September, 2010 at 11:15 p.m., police attended at an apartment on College Street East in response to a break and enter. A resident reported to police that they had observed a male walking across the street from the residence carrying an air conditioner. Investigation of this complaint resulted in the arrest of a male. James Smith (31 years) of Belleville was charged with one count of break and enter and 2 counts of possession of stolen property. Smith will appear in Provincial Court for a bail hearing on 13 September, 2010 at 2:00 p.m...

Belleville, Ontario ? On 13 September, 2010 at 1:13 a.m., police attended at a business on North Front Street in response to a report of glass breaking. Investigation of this incident confirmed that 2 units a North Park Street motel had being broken into. It is alleged that the culprit gained entry by smashing the windows of the rooms and subsequently stole electronics. The culprit was identified with the assistance of Belleville Police Service Canine Unit. Scott Laraway (20 years) of Belleville has been charged with 2 counts of Break and Enter, one count of Possession of Break In Instruments and one count of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime. Scott Laraway will appear in Provincial Court on 28 October, 2010.

Belleville, Ontario ? On 10 September, 2010 at 9:21 a.m., police attended at a residence on Holloway Heights in response to a complaint of a break and enter. The resident reported that sometime overnight unknown person(s) entered the residence via the ceiling; nothing was reported stolen at this time. This investigation is continuing.

Belleville, Ontario ? On 12 September, 2010 at 11:17 a.m., police attended at a residence on Prince of Wales Drive in response to a complaint of a break and enter. The resident reported that unknown person(s) entered the residence sometime between 6:00 p.m. on 11 September and 9:00 a.m. on 12 September, 2010. The culprits stole electronics. This investigation is ongoing.

Belleville, Ontario ? On 12 September, 2010 at 12:42 p.m., police attended at a residence on Moira Street West in response to a complaint of a break and enter. The resident reported that unknown person(s) entered the residence 4:00 p.m. on 11 September and 12:00 p.m. on 12 September. The culprits stole electronics. This investigation is ongoing.

Assault
Belleville, Ontario ? On 11 September, 2010 at 1:55 a.m., police attended at a business on North Front Street in response to complaint of assault that had occurred. It is alleged that the victim was attempting to leave the business when a male (that was not known to her) assaulted the female. The male fled the area and was arrested a short time later. David Allen Caddick (38 years) of Corbyville has been charged with one count of assault and one count of resist arrest, he will appear in Provincial Court on 21 October, 2010.

Over 80 mgs of Alcohol
Belleville, Ontario ? On 11 September, 2010 at 4:31 a.m., police were alerted to a vehicle that was travelling at a high rate of speed on Bridge Street, West because of the loud sound coming from the vehicle as a result of excessive revving of the engine. A black Honda was located and stopped on Bridge Street West. Investigation of this incident led to the driver, Andrew Muir (20 years) of Roslin, being charged with Operation of a Motor Vehicle with more than 80 mgs of Alcohol and Operate Motor Vehicle with no insurance. Muir will appear in Provincial Court on 21 October, 2010.

Mischief
Belleville, Ontario ? On 12 September, 2010 at 1:24 a.m., police attended at a Bell Blvd business in relation to a fight in the parking lot that involved 2 groups of females. The involved females had left the area. A short time later police responded to a possible break and enter to a residence on Bleecker Avenue. This residence is associated to one of the females involved in the earlier incident. This resident reported that a number of females had attended at her residence and smashed the glass of windows to her residence. Investigation of this incident led to the arrest of 4 females.
Nichole Bennett (26 years) of Belleville has been charged with one count of Mischief and will appear in Provincial Court on 4 November, 2010.
Stephanie Talbot (29 years) of Belleville has been charged with one count of Mischief and will appear in Provincial Court on 4 November, 2010.
Sherri Dove (21 years) of Belleville has been charged with one count of Mischief and one count of Causing a Disturbance. Sherri Dove will appear in Provincial Court on 4 November, 2010.
A fourth female has been charged in relation to this incident with one count of Mischief and one count of Causing a Disturbance and will appear in Youth Court on 9 November, 2010. This 17 year old Belleville female can not be identified according to the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
