The Belleville Police Service responded to 41 calls for service between February 12th, 2019 at 5:00 a.m. and February 13th, 2019 at 5:00 a.m.


Belleville, Ontario – On February 12th, 2019 at 5:43 a.m., police attended on Mudcat Road in relation to a family disturbance. A 47 year-old Belleville man was arrested for his own protection under the Liquor Licence Act. He was issued a provincial offence notice for being intoxicated in a public place. No one was injured.

Theft of gas

Belleville, Ontario – On February 12th, 2019 at 2:09 p.m., police attended in the parking lot of the Wellness Centre on Cannifton Road in relation to an attempted theft of gas from a parked pick-up truck. The investigation revealed that the unknown suspect drilled a hole in the gas tank of the truck. A gas can had been placed underneath to capture the gas. The suspect was interrupted during this theft and drove away in a small, beige pick-up truck. The gas can was left behind. Arrested on warrants

Belleville, Ontario – On February 12th, 2019 at 5:00 p.m., an officer on patrol recognized a male on Bridge Street East who was wanted on warrants. 24 year-old Kyle MacKenzie-Baker was arrested on the warrant. He was held for a bail hearing on February 13th, 2019 on a charge of breach of probation.
