Arrest on warrants


Belleville, Ontario – On February 13th, 2018, at 10:32 a.m. officers attended at the Bayview Mall in relation to a wanted male. An 18-year-old Cobourg man was arrested on warrants held by the Cobourg Police Service. An escort team from Cobourg Police returned the male to court in Cobourg.


On February 13th, 2018, at 11:44 a.m. members of the Belleville Police Service Street Crime Team located a 62-year-old man on Front Street who was wanted on Canada Wide warrants for sexual assault. The warrants were held by the Winnipeg Police Service. Wilfred James Bartley, formerly of Winnipeg, was arrested on the strength of the warrants. He was remanded into custody awaiting an escort team from the Winnipeg Police Service.



Theft//Obstruct Police


Belleville, Ontario – On February 13th, 2018, at 3:00 p.m. officers attended on Bell Blvd in relation to a theft complaint. An 18-year-old Belleville male was located and arrested. The stolen item was concealed inside his backpack. Nick Goulet, of Belleville, will appear in court on March 15th on charges of theft, possession of stolen property and obstructing police.



Fail to remain accident


Belleville, Ontario – On February 14th, 2018, at 12:15 a.m. police attended in a Sidney Street parking lot in relation to an accident. A parked pickup truck had been struck by another vehicle which failed to remain at the scene. Any information on this accident can be forwarded to A/Sgt. Josefik at Belleville Police Service.
