Motor Vehicle Collision
Belleville, Ont,. - At approximately 7:40pm 14 January 2009, Belleville Police Service responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Dundas Street West.  A vehicle had struck a utility pole.  Both occupants of the vehicle were taken to hospital with minor injuries.  The collision is under investigation with charges pending.
 
 Fire
Belleville, Ont., - At approximatley about 9:45pm 14 January 2009, police were dispatched to Station Street near Bleecker Ave to assist the Belleville Fire Department for a fully involved structure fire.  Police maintained traffic and crowd control while Belleville Fire Department extinguished the fire.  Belleville Fire is in charge of the fire investigation.

Motor Vehicle Collisions

Belleville, Ont., - Three motor vehicles were involved in a collision on Wallbridge-Loyalist Rd just before 8:00am on the 14th of January 2009.  Traffic had to be re-routed while the accident was being investigated by Police.  Weather and icy road conditions were a factor in the crash.  Two vehicles were towed from the scene.  Damage is estimated in the thousands of dollars.  There were no injuries reported.

 

At approx. 8:08am on the 14th of January 2009, two more minor collisions were reported at the intersection of Bridge Street East and Herchimer Avenue.  One collision involved two motor vehicles and both suffered only minor damages. 
 
At approximatley 08:52 am Police responded back to Wallbridge-Loyalist Road for another collision involving two motor vehicles.  This investigation resulted in property damages to both vehicles.  No injuries and no charges were laid in this incident.
 
Fail to Remain 
Belleville, Ont., -   The second accident reported at this intersection involved two motor vehicles again.  This collision occurred with one of the involved female drivers leaving the scene of the accident in a green van.  The involved female driver left the scene without identifying herself. Theft from Motor Vehicle           

Belleville, Ont., -  At approximately 8:00am Police were called to GoodLife Fitness, Quinte Mall location after a female victim had her purse stolen from her locked vehicle which had been parked in the lot.  Police were notified of the theft after the victim had attended inside the gym for a workout.  Upon returning to her vehicle, it was observed that her purse had been snatched from her motor vehicle.
