Mischief /Dangerous Driving- Arrest

Belleville, Ontario- On the 14th of January 2016 at 10:11Am a male attended Belleville Police Service and began damaging a marked Police Vehicle. The tail lights were broken by the male using a steel bar. The male fled in a vehicle and was then observed driving on the front steps of the Quinte Consolidated Courthouse. The male then fled as uniformed offers approached him. He was then observed on Bridge Street and blocked in by officers on Front Street. He was taken into custody without incident. A 46yr old male from Belleville, is being held for a bail hearing later today. He is charged with the Criminal Code offences of mischief to property under $5000 and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle. Any witnesses to the events are asked to contact Belleville Police Service.
