Ongoing Phone Scam/Fraud

The Belleville Police Service is also reminding the public about an ongoing phone scam/fraud involving the Canada Revenue Agency.  The caller identifies him or herself as an agent or officer of the agency and indicates that there is a problem with a file and to avoid being arrested, a sum of money is required.  Just a reminder to never give out personal information over the phone.  The Canada Revenue Agency would never contact people in this manner.
