Break and Enter
Belleville, Ont: On July 14, 2009, at approximately 2:45 a.m., neighbours in the area of College Street East called police to reports sounds of breaking glass. Police responded and found a home had been broken into. Witnesses reported seeing two male suspects at the back door of the residence. One male was wearing a white shirt and the second male was wearing white pants, was approximately 5'7", stocky build and long hair in a pony tail. It appears that the concerned neighbours may have scared the suspects off as property from inside the home was found abandoned on the front lawn. This incident is currently under investigation.
Liquor Licence Act
Belleville, Ont. ? On July 13, 2009, at approximately 5:30 p.m., Police received a report of an intoxicated male in the area of Queen Street at Albert Street. Witnesses indicated the male was staggering about and waving a stick at people passing by. A 50 year old Belleville man was arrested for his own protection for Public Intoxication contrary to the Liquor Licence Act.
Warrants
Belleville, Ont. - On July 14, 2009 at 4:00p.m., officers with Belleville Police Service were contacted by the Napanee O.P.P. who reported that they had checked a male and found that he had warrants for his arrest from Belleville. He was arrested and later returned to Belleville where he was held overnight. A 49 year old Deseronto man faces charges of Theft Under $5000 and Failing to Appear in Court. He was held for a Bail Hearing on July 15, 2009.
