Theft Belleville, Ont.

At approximately 3:43 am on June 13, 2012 officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on Casey Road. Upon arrival, the vehicle had fled from the scene and several officers began to search the area. It was located several minutes later travelling eastbound on Airport Parkway near Mitchell Road as a second call came in reporting that the same car had been involved in a theft from an unlocked vehicle at another Casey Road residence. It was followed until it turned southbound on Shannonville Road at before proceeding westbound on Highway #2 where it was eventually stopped at a business on the Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory with the assistance of the Tyendinaga Police.

The three occupants were arrested at the scene without incident and transported to the Belleville Police Service. As a result of the investigation the following charges were laid:

1. Lindsey Klatt aged 18, of Belleville was charged with one count of Theft Over $5000 and released on a Promise to Appear.

2. Brandon Ross, aged 18 of Belleville was charged with one count of Theft Under $5000 and five counts of Breach of Recognizance. He was held for a Show Cause Hearing.

3. A 16 Year old male was charged with one count of Theft Over $5000, three counts of Breach of Recognizance, and one count of Breach of an Officer in Charge Undertaking. He was held for a Show Cause Hearing. His name can not be released under the terms of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
