Assault : Belleville Ontario--   On the 13thMarch 2014 at approximately 6:30 am, members of the Belleville Police Service responded to a domestic situation at a residence in the west end of Belleville. Police conducted an investigation and determined that an assault had taken place . A 35 year Belleville male resident was arrested and charged with domestic assault and held for a show cause hearing. There were minor injuries sustain during the altercation

 

 

Theft  : Belleville Ontario---    On the 13th March 2014 at approximately 4:00 pm members of the Belleville Police Service responded to an east end grocery store regarding a 33 year male stealing products for the store. The short struggled ensued when the male was approached by store security outside the store. Police arrested and charged the 33 year of Belleville with  two counts of theft  and one count of resisting a peace officer and breach of probation . The male  was later released on a Promise to appear and is required to attend court in early April 2014. The value of the property taken ids unknown at this time.

 

Accident " Hit and Run”: Belleville Ontario-- On the 13th March 2014 at approximately 5:20 pm members of the Belleville Police Service responded to a hit and run  motor vehicle collision. The suspect vehicle was eastbound on Bridge street east when it struck  a vehicle southbound on Bleecker Avenue . A 55 year female suffered minor injuries as a result of the collision. With the public’s help the vehicle was located at an east end apartment complex without the driver present. The investigation is ongoing. If any member of the public witnessed the accident or has information, contact Crime Stoppers or Constable Hounslow of the Belleville Police Service

 

 

Assault Police: Belleville Ontario – On the 13th March 2014 at 10:00 pm police attended east end apartment complex regarding loud music disturbing the neighbors twice in about 15 minutes. During the second visit by the police a 22 year male was arrested for assault police. The male was held at the Belleville Police Service and later released on Promise to Appear to attend in court to answer to the charges of Mischief and Assault Police

 

Sexual Assault: Belleville Ontario- On the 14thMarch 2014 2:53 am police responded to an injured male behind the stores on Front Street. Investigation revealed the male had been attacked by two males, knocking him to the ground and taking his money. There was no description of the offenders, they were both wearing mask. The culprits left on foot in an unknown direction.
