COLLISION ? Fail to remain
Belleville, On- May 14, 2009, at approximately 12:30 a.m. police responded to reports of an erratic driver on Front Street. As officers were looking for the suspect vehicle a motor vehicle collision was reported on Bleecker Ave. On arrival police found that the same vehicle they were looking for had been involved in the collision and fled the scene. The vehicle was described as a dark coloured Chrysler Intrepid with moderate front end damage.
Assist Citizen
Belleville, Ont. ? On May 14, 2009, at approximately 9:35 p.m., a male was disoriented and attempting to cross the train Bridge over the Moira river between Cannifton Road and Moira Street East. A concerned citizen went onto the bridge to assist in helping the male get off. At that time the citizen observed a train coming in their direction. He attempted to get the train to stop by waving his arms with no avail. When he realized the train could not stop he pulled the male against the railing and held him until the train passed. When the train passed the he managed to get the male off the Bridge. The disoriented male collapsed after being removed from the bridge and was transported to Belleville General Hospital and treated for a medical condition. No injuries were sustained by either male.
