Motor Vehicle Collision
Belleville, Ontario ? On 13 May, 2011 at 9:29 p.m., police responded to a complaint of a single vehicle collision on Old Highway 2. Police observed a dark coloured Pontiac Grand Prix in the west bound lane with significant damage (the right rear tire was not attached and a significant amount of fluid was pouring from the engine area). The driver of the vehicle was identified and investigation of this single vehicle collision led to information that the driver was not the owner of the vehicle nor did the driver have permission to be driving the vehicle. Subsequently, Gordon Card (48 years) of Belleville has been charged with Operation of Motor Vehicle with More than 80 mgs of alcohol, Take Motor Vehicle without Consent and Breach of Probation. Card will appear in Provincial court on 26 May, 2011. There were no injuries reported as a result of this collision.

Break and Enter
Belleville, Ontario ? On 13 May, 2011 at 7:48 a.m., police attended at a strip mall on Dundas street East in response to complaints of a break and enter that occurred overnight (between 4:30 p.m. on 12 May, 2011 and 7:45 a.m. on 13 May, 2011). Two businesses located within this strip mall reported that unknown person(s) forced entry into one unit and then proceeded to gain entry into an adjacent unit. Electronics were reported stolen and this investigation is ongoing.
