Theft from Motor Vehicles

Belleville, Ontario -  On September 14 2009 between 6:00am and 11:01 am Police received 14 reports of incidents where vehicles were entered overnight in the area of West Park Village, specifically Beverly Crescent, Thorncliffe Drive and Jeanette Place. A   majority of the vehicles had been left unlocked.  Items stolen range from loose change, wallets, purses, mini video camera and GPS units.  In one incident on Lynndale Drive two bicycles were stolen.  One was recovered nearby. 


Impaired Driver

Belleville, Ontario ? On September 14 2009, at approximately midnight an officer stopped a vehicle on Front Street. As a result of the vehicle stop, a 20 year old male driver was arrested for blowing Over .80 on the Roadside Screening Device. The accused was transported to the Belleville Police Service where he provided two suitable samples of his breath. Subsequently, he was charged with Over .80 Mgs of alcohol and released with on a Promise to Appear with a court date in October 2009.
