Impaired Driver

Belleville – On the 13th of September 2018 shortly before 8:00 p.m. police received a call with regards to a male who was refused the sale of alcohol at a local retail store due to his impairment but was then seen by staff driving away in a vehicle. The vehicle was located and stopped by police in the city’s east end. The driver was found to be impaired in the officer’s opinion and he  was arrested and taken to The Belleville Police Service where he registered two readings of nearly 4 times the legal limit. 30 year old Belleville resident Jeffrey Cross was released on a promise to appear with an October court date to answer to charges of impaired driving and driving with a blood alcohol level above the legal limit.
