The Belleville Police responded to 52 calls for service between the 13th of January, 2019 at 5:00 a.m. and the 14th of January, 2019 at 5:00 a.m.

Wrong license plates leads to charges

Belleville, ON- On the 13th of January, 2019 at 9:30 p.m., police observed a vehicle on Purdy Street displaying two different licence plates. Police stopped the vehicle and learned that the driver, a 54 year old from Belleville, only had a G1 license and no insurance. Police seized the plates, towed the vehicle, and the male was charged with multiple offences and issued summons to court in February.
