Belleville, Ont. ? On May 15, 2009, at approximately 3:00 a.m., Police received a report about a male attempting to break the window of a vehicle parked in a North end parking lot. A 19 year old Belleville male was arrested while in the vehicle. He was charged with Mischief to Property and subsequently released with a June court date.
Missing Youth Located
Belleville, Ontario - On the 15th of May 2009 at approximately 1:00 pm police responded to Bell Blvd. regarding the report of a missing 10year old boy. Police searched the area of Bell Blvd from Sidney St across North Front St. and into West Riverside Park. At approximately 3:00 pm, the young male was located and with the assistance of family friends and he was returned to his mother.

Stolen Vehicle - Pursuit 

Belleville, Ontario - On the 15th of  May 2009 at 4:33 pm Officers on general patrol observed a vehicle on Wallbridge Cres., exit a driveway at a high rate of speed. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, and the driver refused, resulting in a pursuit. The vehicle proceeded through the west end of Belleville until the vehicle slowed down on Charlotte Street. The two male occupants hastily exited the vehicle and fled on foot. The vehicle, which had not come to a complete stop, then rolled forward into the house at 6 Charlotte St. The two male suspects were last observed north bound from Charlotte Street. There were no injuries to any parties resulting from this incident. Investigation confirmed the vehicle had been reported stolen to Belleville Police earlier that day. The Canine Unit attended the scene in an attempt to track the suspects, however due to the time of day and traffic, were unable to locate the suspects. This incident is still under investigation and anyone with further information regarding this incident is asked to contact Det. Tom Sweet.

Break & Enter / Robbery
Belleville, Ontario - On the 15th of May 2009, at 7:30 p.m., Police responded to a west end Belleville apartment in relation to a complaint that a woman had been assaulted.  Investigation revealed that the woman had entered her apartment and was attacked by a male who had had broken into her apartment. The male assailant proceeded to tie the victim to a chair with duct tape.  He demanded her bankcard which she did not have with her.  The assailant, who was known to the victim, eventually freed her after some time.  The male left the residence and Police were called.  The investigation resulted in a 54 year old Belleville man being located and arrested a short time later.  The victim suffered minor injuries, but did not require medical attention. The accused was held for a Bail Hearing on charges of Robbery, Forcible Confinement, Assault with a Weapon, Assault, and Break and Enter with Intent to Commit an Indictable Offence.
Liquor Licence Act

Belleville, Ontario - On the15th of May 2009, at 8:30 p.m., a 31 year old Belleville woman was arrested on Front St. for Public Intoxication.

Similarily, a little later, at approximately 10:30 p.m., a 20 year old Belleville man was arrested on W. Moira St. for Public Intoxication.  Both parties were later released with Provincial Offence Notices.
Uttering Threats 
Belleville, Ontario - On the 15th  of May 2009 at 11:30 p.m., a 27 year old Belleville man was arrested for Uttering Threats to a woman during an argument.  He was arrested, charged and released on a Promise to Appear and Office In Charge Conditions.  He will appear in Domestic Court in June.
