Break and Enter(s)
Belleville, Ontario ? On 15 November, 2010 at 3:25 a.m., police responded to an intrusion alarm at a business on Dundas Street West. Investigation of this incident revealed that entry to the business had been gained by breaking the glass in the front window. At 3:52 a.m. Donovan Huycke (18 years) was arrested for Break and Enter and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime as well as a Breach of Probation. Huycke will appear in Provincial court on 16 December, 2010.
Belleville, Ontario - Between 11 November, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. and 15 November, 2010 at 1:35 a.m., police responded to 7 residential break and enters that occurred at various residences throughout the city. The culprits entered via insecure doors and windows and stole tools, jewellery, cash, a mini bike and electronics. The investigation into these break and enters will continue.

Impaired/ Operation with more than 80 mgs/ Fail to Provide

Belleville, Ontario ? On 13 November, 2010 at 3:19 a.m., police responded to a complaint of an erratic driver within the city. Police located a vehicle matching the description and investigation led to the driver being demanded to provide a suitable sample of his breath. The driver failed to provide a suitable sample of his breath. Dean McKenzie, 28 years of Belleville has been charged with one count of Failure to Provide a Suitable Sample and will appear in Provincial court on 23 December, 2010.

Belleville, Ontario ? On 14 November, 2010 at 2:20 a.m., police observed a red Dodge pick up truck driving erratically in a parking lot on North Front Street. Investigation of this led to Daniel Whittaker, 19 years of Stirling being charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Operation of Motor Vehicle with more than 80 mgs of alcohol. Whittaker will appear in Provincial court on 7 December, 2010.


Belleville, Ontario ? On 13 November, 2010 10:46 p.m., police responded to an attempted robbery complaint from a business on College Street, East. The victim reported that a male wearing a white hoodie with blond hair entered the store and attempted to purchase an item and when the cash register drawer was open the male was unsuccessful in his attempt to grab the cash drawer. The male fled the business. The victim did not report any injuries as a result of this incident. This investigation is ongoing.
