Stolen Vehicle Belleville, Ontario

 

 At approximately 6:29 am on April 14, 2014 police were contacted by a Purdy Street resident reporting the theft of a truck during the overnight period of April 13th April 14th. The vehicle is a 1995 GMC Sierra pickup, light brown in colour. The licence plate on the truck is Ontario marker AB89106 and it is described as having rust around the front fenders. At approximately 12:36 am on April 15th officers were called to a service station on Highway #62 just north of the city to investigate a report of the theft of gas. The vehicle involved was confirmed as the stolen vehicle in question and was last seen fleeing northbound on Highway #62. Anyone with any information about these incidents is asked to call the Belleville Police Service or Quinte Crimestoppers.

 

Motor Vehicle Collision Belleville, Ontario

 

 At approximately 5:26 pm on April 14, 2014 police were called to the intersection of Cannifton Road and Adam Street to investigate a report of an accident involving two vehicles with one rear-ending the other. As a result of the investigation a 22 year old Belleville man was charged with Careless Driving under the Highway Traffic Act.

 

Suspicious Vehicle Belleville, Ontario

 

 At approximately 3:17 am on April 15, 2014 police were called to a Bleecker Avenue residence to investigate a report of a suspicious black truck. The vehicle was located and stopped by police and the occupants identified. Officers checked the area and located a 2008 Honda C2 motorcycle nearby that was unplated. A check of the serial number revealed that it had been reported stolen to the Kingston Police on August 24, 2013. The motorcycle was seized and will be returned to the registered owner. The investigation is ongoing and no charges have been laid at this time. Anyone with any information about the stolen motorcycle is asked to contact the Belleville Police Service or Quinte Crimestoppers.
