Cleveland Police Law Enforcement Explorer?s Program
The Belleville Police Service is pleased to support the Cleveland Police Law Enforcement Explorer?s Program. The program was designed to initiate young adults, ages 13-21, to developing the skills and knowledge necessary to pursue a possible career in the police profession. Police-related training, community service projects, and competitions throughout the year all play an integral part in the program.
The Belleville Police Service will be hosting 12 Explorers and 6 six Advisors from Cleveland Ohio from Wednesday July 15th to Saturday July 18th. During this time the Explorer?s will be participating in ride - a longs with officers from the Service.
The Police Service has been participating in this program for many years and has been hosting youths from the Cleveland area throughout this time.
The Belleville Police Service wishes to invite members of the media to meet the Explorers and Advisors on Friday July 17, 2009, at the Belleville Police Headquarters at 7:00 p.m. The Explorer?s are eager to share with you their experiences while visiting the City of Belleville as well as discuss this program and what it has meant to them.
S/Sgt Kris Patterson will be available to speak to the media at that time with regards to this program and our participation.
