Assault
Belleville, Ontario ? On 14 July, 2010, at 7:07 p.m., a 24 year old Belleville man presented at the Belleville Police Service with a complaint of assault. Investigation of this incident alleges that the male victim was walking on Cannifton Road at approximately 4:30 p.m., when a female (whom he has known for several years) advanced toward him. There was a scuffle as a result of the female assaulting the male. The male was eventually able to break away from the confrontation. The male suffered minor injuries that did not require medical attention. Charged with one count of assault is Trisha Lee Morrison, 33 years of Belleville. Morrison will appear in Provincial court on 2 September, 2010.

Quinte Kids Fun Day

Time: 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Location: West Zwick's Park

Belleville Police Service Running Team will host a fun day for local children at West Zwick's Park in support of Quinte Children's Foundation. On 5 August, 2010, members of the Belleville Police Service will assist with a four on four ball hockey tournament and a casting contest.
Brad Richardson of the National Hockey Leagues Los Angeles Kings will take part in the 4 on 4 ball hockey tournament and his brother Curtis Richardson; Bass Pro Fisherman will take part in the casting contest.
All children are invited to attend the event and take advantage of the BBQ lunch being provided.
Registration for the ball hockey tournament is $50.00 per team, and the registration deadline is 1 August, 2010. Registration forms can be downloaded from the Belleville Police Service website (http://www.police.belleville.on.ca/) or picked up at the Belleville Police Service located at 93 Dundas Street, East.
