On the afternoon of July 11th 2015 a French Bulldog was purchased from a female in the parking lot of a business on Bell Blvd. The complainant responded to a kijiji add and after conversing through email with the unknown female suspect, the complainant decided to purchase the dog for $2200. The suspect provided a bill of sale and vet forms but both were found to be false documents. After not being able to contact the suspect through email anymore, the victim became suspicious of the purchase and took the dog to a local vet – learning that the dog had a rare heart disease and is not expected to live long. It is believed that the suspect sold the dog after learning that it had the rare defect. The female suspect is described as being in her 30’s, blonde, approximately 6 feet tall and was driving a dark coloured SUV with tinted windows. Anyone with information is asked to contact Constable Hatfield of the Belleville Police Service.
