Domestic Assault

Early this morning, city police were called to a west end apartment building in regards to a domestic dispute.  Police had to force their way into the residence because the home owner was uncooperative with law enforcement.  After the preliminary investigation, a 37 year old Belleville man was arrested for domestic assault and held in custody.  The victim, a 37 year old Belleville woman received minor injuries.  The accused will appear in court this afternoon, July 15^th  for a show cause hearing.
