Stolen Vehicle(s)

Belleville, Ontario ? On March 12, 2011, police responded to a report of a stolen transport trailer at a College St East location. The theft occurred sometime between March 12th at 8:30 p.m. and March 13th at 8:30 a.m.

The owner reported the trailer was loaded with meat products and was destined for Moncton, New Brunswick. The driver had parked the trailer at this location where it was to be picked up by another driver. It was this second driver who reported the trailer stolen. The trailer is valued at $30,000. The suspects would have required a transport to haul this stolen trailer.

The stolen trailer is described as;

Vehicle Description

  • Ontario plate F2254A (trailer)
  • 2006 Utility Reefer 53' trailer with a double axle (plain white with no business names on side)
  • "Ranlyn? in 4? blue letters located on the front of the trailer
  • Trailer unit #5362 located both on the front and the rear doors of the trailer.
  • Rear doors are checkered diamond pleated stainless steel
  • The front of the trailer has a "Thermo King? refrigeration unit

The meat products within the trailer are valued at $39,000.

Belleville, Ontario ? On March 13, 2011 at 1:30 p.m., a vehicle owner who was at the Quinte Mall witnessed his vehicle being stolen from the parking lot. The owner reported he found his wallet and keys stolen from a locker at this location. He immediately went to check his vehicle and observed it being driven away through the mall parking lot. Police located the vehicle a short time later parked in another location in the same lot however the keys, wallet and an IPhone are still missing.

The suspect is described as male, white, approximately 45 years old, moustache, glasses, grey wavy hair with orange streaks in it and wearing a length leather jacket and a horizontal striped shirt.

Both of these thefts are currently under investigation.

Break & Enter(s)

Belleville, Ontario ? On March 14, 2011, at 6:28 a.m., a restaurant on Dundas St East was reported broken into. The investigation revealed suspects entered the business through a roof top vent. Once inside suspects stole cash and then exited through the front door.

Sometime between March 11th at 4:40 p.m., and March 14th at 8:30 a.m. a business on Bay Bridge road was entered. Suspects gained entry through the front door of the business and once inside removed a brief case and a Kodak Digital camera.

Both of these Break & Enters are under investigation.
