Motor Vehicle Collisions

Belleville, Ontario – During the previous 24hours, the Belleville Police Service responded to 11 motor vehicle collisions primarily due to road and weather conditions which resulted in minor damages to vehicles.   One single motor vehicle accident on Casey Rd resulted in a car leaving the road, entering a ditch and snapping a steel cable rod and breaking a pole requiring the attendance of a Hydro One Crew.

On the 14th of March 2017 at approximately 1pm, Belleville Police were dispatched to a disturbance at an apartment building in the west end of Belleville.  Upon arrival, police learned that a 68 year old male had been struck in the head with an ashtray causing minor injuries.  After separating and speaking with the involved parties, neither person wished to file a complaint.  The 68 year old male was transported to BGH to receive medical treatment.
