Break and Enter

Belleville, Ontario On 14 November, 2012 at 4:45 p.m., police attended at a residence on Sidney Street in response to a report of a break and enter that occurred between 06:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.. It was reported to police that the suspect(s) entered via an unlocked door and stole electronics. Belleville Police Service would like to remind citizens to secure all belongings at all times.

Possession of Property Obtained by Crime

Belleville, Ontario On 14 November, 2012 at 11:28 p.m., police were patrolling in the area of Wallbridge Loyalist Road. At that time a vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation and it was discovered that the plates on the vehicle had been reported as stolen. Further investigation resulted in the driver of the vehicle being charged with one count of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime. A 26 year old Belleville woman will appear in Provincial Court on 13 December, 2012.

 

Break and Enter, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Theft Over $5000.00

Belleville, Ontario Between 5 September, 2012 and 30 October 2012 Belleville Police Service and Northumberland Ontario Provincial Police jointly investigated several complaints of break and enters to 5 businesses throughout the City and Northumberland County

Investigation of these incidents resulted in the arrested of Aaron Dennis Blight (41 years) of Belleville on 14 November, 2012. Blight has been charged with:

  • 5 counts of break and enter
  • 3 counts of theft over $5000.00
  • 4 counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5000.00
  • 6 counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000.00

Blight appeared for a bail hearing on 15 November, 2012.
