Belleville Police responded to 61 calls for service between 5:00 a.m. 14 Sept 2019 and 15 Sept 2019 5:00 a.m. 

Domestic

Belleville, ON On the 14th of September 2019 at approximately 9:34 p.m., police were called to an east end location regarding a male wielding a chainsaw. Further investigation revealed that the male had utilized the chainsaw in the commission of an offense. The male entered into an argument with his spouse leading to him threatening his wife with the chainsaw. A 45-year-old Belleville man was charged with assault with a weapon, uttering a threat to cause bodily harm and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. He was later released on a promise to appear with a court date of the 7th of October 2019.

Domestic

Belleville, ON – On the 14th of September 2019 at approximately 10:40 p.m., police attended an east end location for a report of a domestic dispute. A male caller, stated he was being assaulted by his girlfriend. During the phone conversation with police, the female assailant took the phone away from the male and hung up on police dispatch. When officers arrived, they arrested a 33-year-old Belleville woman for assault. She was later released on a promise to appear with a court date of the 7th of October 2019.

Liquor License Act

Belleville, ON – On the 14th of September 2019, at approximately 11:42 p.m., Belleville officers were called to a north end establishment regarding an unruly patron. A male that was heavily intoxicated due to alcohol consumption was trying to start fights with bar staff. A 22-year-old Belleville man was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place. He was later released from custody once deemed to be able to care for himself.
