The Belleville Police Service responded to 57 calls between August 15th 2019 at 5:00 a.m. and August 16th 2019 at 5:00 a.m.

Warrants

Belleville ON- On the 15th of August 2019 at 9am a male was located on Front Street who it was determined had a number of outstanding warrants for his arrest.  As a result, 25-year-old Belleville resident Christopher Gray was arrested and held for a bail hearing. 

Impaired

Belleville ON – On the 16th of August 2019 at 1am police responded to the downtown area regarding a possible motor vehicle collision involving a SUV and a Bicycle.  When officers arrived they found that no one involved in the incident remained on scene.  Officers did locate the SUV allegedly involved a few minutes later.  The 20-year-old driver from Corbyville failed the roadside screening and provided samples over 80mg.  The driver was charged and released with a September court date.   

 

Motor Vehicle Collisions

Belleville ON - On the 15th of August 2019 at 12:00pm police were called regarding a motor vehicle collision on Grove Street.  As a result of the investigation one of the drivers was charged with careless driving.

 

Belleville ON - On the 15th of August 2019 at 1:30pm police were called regarding a motor vehicle collision on Moira Street East.  Occupants suffered minor injuries as a result of the collision.  As a result of the investigation one of the drivers was charged for failing to stop at a red light.

 

Belleville ON - On the 15th of August 2019 at 4:10pm police were called regarding a motor vehicle collision on Geddes Street involving minor injuries.  As a result of the investigation one of the drivers was charged with careless driving.
